Meals, foods, and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. All meals, foods, and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

This noon meal contributes one-third to one-half of a student’s nutritional intake. Increasing fresh fruits and vegetables, along with healthier, more flavorful main entrées, will earn the grade with students. Meals include milk, two fruit and/or vegetable choices, a grain item, and a meat or meat alternate item.

A limited number of À la carte items are available in the elementary schools, with more selection of entrées and side dishes in the secondary buildings.

Big Walnut Food Service offers Breakfast in all buildings. Pricing is as follows:

High School $2.50
Middle School $2.50
Intermediate School $1.75
Elementary Schools $1.75

Students who qualify may receive free or reduced-price ($0.30) breakfast at all buildings.
