IDEA-B Federal Funds for Special Education
Community Input
Big Walnut Local Schools is applying to receive federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part B funds to assist with the education of students with disabilities aged 3 through 21 for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. As part of meeting federal assurances, the district must give community members an opportunity to provide input into how the district plans to use the funds. Community members who would like to provide input are welcome to submit any thoughts or suggestions using this form.

Section 504/ADA Procedural Safeguards
In compliance with the procedural requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, hereinafter Section 504, the following Notice of Parent/Student Rights in Identification, Evaluation, and Placement shall be utilized in BWLS.
Notice of Proposed Class Action Settlement
Multiple state-level defendants have reached a proposed settlement to a class action lawsuit and have requested that we inform students and parents of the proposed settlement. We are not a defendant in this lawsuit and are not accused of any wrongdoing.
