Homeschool

In Ohio, parents interested in educating their children at home may do so by meeting the requirements of Ohio law for homeschooling. Information about home-school can be found on the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (ODEW) website:

Parents should start by notifying the school district about their intent to homeschool their child/children, using the notification form to the right.

Home School Notification Form

According to Ohio law, this notification form must be filled out and sent to the school within "five calendar days after commencing home education, moving into a new school district, or withdrawing from public or nonpublic school, and by the thirtieth day of August each year thereafter."
