Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS)

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS)

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) is a process Big Walnut uses to establish a consistent approach to teaching and supporting positive behavior for all students. PBIS is applied to all areas of the school, learning and recreational spaces, and is designed to prevent and reduce unsafe behaviors. The process consists of strategies that are universally applied as well as strategies to support the specific needs of groups and individuals.  To learn more about PBIS, visit: PBIS in Ohio (Ohio Dept. of Education)
