Erin’s Law: Senate Bill 288

Ohio Senate Bill 288 (often referred to as Erin’s Law) updated health education requirements to include instruction on:

  • Child sexual abuse prevention (Grades K–6)
  • Dating violence prevention and sexual violence prevention (Grades 7–12)

The law also includes requirements for parent/guardian notification and training for school personnel.
