Jessica SheltonEarly Learning Center at Harrison Street
Jessica Shelton will serve as the new principal of the Early Learning Center at Harrison Street.
Jessica has been with Big Walnut for 21 years. Most recently, she served as an intervention specialist at Prairie Run Elementary.
Shelton holds a Master of Education in Administration from Ashland University and a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies, as well as Child Development from The Ohio State University.
Nick Powell
Big Walnut Elementary School
Nick Powell will serve as the new principal of Big Walnut Elementary School.
Nick has been with Big Walnut since 2016. He most recently served as the Assistant Principal at Big Walnut Intermediate School as well as the Principal at our Early Learning Center. He also served as the Assistant Principal at Big Walnut Middle School.
Powell holds a Master of Education in Leadership from the American College of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Ohio Dominican University.
Justin Grieger
Big Walnut Intermediate School
Justin Grieger will be joining Big Walnut Intermediate School as the Assistant Principal.
Justin joins us from Northridge High School where he previously served as principal. Prior to Northridge High School, he served as the principal of Northridge Middle School, and a teacher at New Albany Plain Local Schools.
Grieger holds a Master's in both School Administration and Sports Education from Ashland University, as well as Health and Physical Education from Capital University.
Paul Hershberger, Jr. Big Walnut High School
Paul Hershberger Jr. will serve as the new Assistant Principal of Big Walnut High School.
Paul was previously at Westerville North High School where he served as one of three Assistant Principals. Prior to Westerville City Schools, he was the Principal at Mechanicsburg High School.
Hershberger holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Antioch McGregor and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education from Capital University.
Dr. Nicole CarterBig Walnut High School
Dr. Nicole Carter will serve as the new principal of Big Walnut High School.
Dr. Carter joins us from Reynoldsburg High School Summit Campus where she served as the principal. Prior to Reynoldsburg, she was an educator at Canal Winchester High School for twenty years.
Dr. Carter holds a Doctorate and Master's Degree from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in High School English from the University of Rio Grande.

District Administration
Jim Hall
Jim Hall will serve as the Director of Facilities for the district.
Jim has been with Big Walnut for nine years, previously serving as one of two high school Assistant Principals. Prior to Big Walnut, he was the Athletic Director at Grandview Heights, the Principal at Northridge High School, and the Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Northridge High School.
Hall holds a Master of Education from Ashland University and is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
Mike Robertson
Mike Robertson will serve as the Director of Academic Achievement for the district.
Robertson joins us from Upper Arlington Schools where he previously served as the Principal of Hastings Middle School.
Robertson holds a Master of Educational Policy and Leadership from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from The Ohio State University.
Alan Feeman
Alan Feeman will serve as the Assistant Food Services Supervisor for the district.
Alan has been with Big Walnut for three years, previously serving as a Substitute Bus Driver and Substitute Food Service worker. Alan has also served as a store manager for Gordon Food Services for seven years,
T. Marzetti for three years, and owns his own concessions business.
Feeman holds a Bachelor of Science in Logistics from Ohio Christian University and an Associate of Science in Accounting from Owens Community College.
Geoff PeterfyGeoff Peterfy will serve as the Communications Specialist for the district.
Geoff previously served as a videographer and social media specialist for Sinclair Broadcast Group for the past eight years. He also has been active in coaching club volleyball at the high school level for over ten years.
Peterfy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting and Electronic Media from Ohio Northern University.
