The Big Walnut Local Schools seeks a qualified individual to be the next Superintendent. BWLSD has a strong tradition of "educational excellence" and the board hopes to build upon this foundation. It is the goal of the Big Walnut Board of Education to find the ideal candidate to lead our district and learning community into the future. To date, the board has published the opening in a variety of local and state publications. In addition, members of the Board have met with the administrators and association leadership. The board now turns to you for your feedback on qualities you believe to be important in our next superintendent.

Message From Angie Hamberg

Dear Big Walnut Families,

I am writing to share that I will be resigning as superintendent at the end of this school year. For the past 13 years, I have been a part of the administrative team at Big Walnut, and I have served as superintendent for the past seven years.

I am extremely proud of the work we have done during that time to continuously improve our district for our students. From implementing our academic vision, to passing ballot issues and opening buildings, I am grateful to have been part of such impactful work for our students and community.  I have never been a part of a more talented team, and I especially value the student-centered decisions we have made over the years.

I wish you all the best,

Angie Hamberg
