Big Walnut partners with the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO) to participate in a regional Business Advisory Council (BAC) along with many other school districts in the central Ohio region. The purpose of the Business Advisory Council is to help school districts and local and regional businesses to:
Identify employment skills and develop a curriculum to instill these skills.
Keep current with changes in the economy and in the job market, and the types of employment in which future jobs are most likely to be available
Suggest opportunities for developing a working relationship among businesses, labor organizations, and educational personnel.
Big Walnut attends the BAC's quarterly meetings to network with local and regional businesses and districts and to help support these initiatives.
In accordance with ORC 3313.82 the BAC publishes an annual plan as well as a joint statement that helps outline the goals and progress made toward achieving those goals.
