We do this by providing our students with a safe school culture and a rigorous curriculum that promotes English language development. Mango Languages is a free language service offered by Ohio public libraries. It allows limited English proficient students to learn and practice English through an interactive experience online. The student will need a library card before accessing the program.
Starfall is a great website for early English learners to practice basic concepts such as shapes, colors, numbers, and the alphabet.
iCivics is a web-based education project designed to teach students civics and inspire them to be active participants in our democracy. It is a language-intensive game that encourages students to engage, compete, and collaborate in the democratic process using their English language skills. Games include running for president, drafting new laws, managing the branches of government, community activism, and more!
